Do you have insurance?
Yes, I am fully insured to cover dog walks. This includes being off the lead when in a park, however this would only be after I have received your written consent and when I am comfortable with the dog's recall. If I do not think the recall is strong enough, I will keep your dog on a long lead so they are free to run and play. I am also fully covered for drop-in visits.
Will you meet the animals before the walk or drop-in?
Yes, we will need to have an initial consultation so I can meet your pet(s) before our first walk or my first visit. This is so I can get to know them, and take some details from yourselves. I would also need a set of keys if you are not going to be home when I take them on a walk, or when I drop-in.
How will you keep my keys and details safe?
Your key will be kept secure and locked away so no one other than myself can access them, and your details will be kept in a secure filing unit separate to where your keys are kept. I am also fully DBS checked, which is not a legal requirement however I would like you to be comfortable with me storing your details and with you sharing a set of keys with me.
What will happen in case of emergency?
In the unlikely event of an emergency happening, I would contact you straight away to let you know. If veterinary care is required then I will take your pet to your chosen veterinary practice for assistance. If the situation does not allow for this, I will take them to the nearest one possible. I will take all your emergency contact details and your chosen veterinarian details in our initial consultation, so I will have these available should I need them.
How do I pay?
The easiest way for you to pay would be to send your payment through PayPal. Please get in contact first so we can discuss your needs, and then I can provide you with a quote for how much it will be. I also accept cash payments on our initial consultation, and so will let you know how much it will be before we meet.
What is your cancellation process?
If you should need to cancel your booking, then please notify me through email or by phoning me. If cancelling a walk or visit, please let me know 48 hours in advance otherwise charges will apply.
Are you able to give medication to my pet?
Yes, I am happy to administer medication to your pet, as long as you have provided me with instructions. We will also be able to discuss this in our initial consultation so I am familiar with your pet's needs.
I'm happy to offer my drop-in visits for all household pets. These include but are not limited to: dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils and fish.
Please note, I am happy to look after reptiles depending on the level of care needed. I am not able to look after tropical fish.
